Did you know that we have an outreach program that caters for
housebound people? We mean people who are still very much interested to
have their books, talking books, videos and the like but not able to
come and choose it for themselves. This is one of the services that we
offer here at the Levin library. We choose the books according to your
preferences and have them arranged to be couriered for you weekly or
fortnightly. If anyone is interested, you may get in touch with us
during the week from Monday to Friday and see Celle Gore.
Who is the Service for?
Anyone who lives in Levin, who can’t get out to the public
library because of disability, illness , frailty or difficulty in
carrying their books home.
Carers who are looking after housebound residents and are unable to access library services due to their caring commitments.
Residents in rest homes.
If this sounds like you, or someone you know, you may be eligible for
this service. So give the homelink librarian a call on 3681953 and look
for Celle Gore.
What is available?
The housebound service offers a free request for their favourite large print or regular print books, talking books, and videos.
What does it Cost?
Absolutely nothing! It's completely free of charge.
